Dirtbag 02:28
This body's built to stand up To petty tyrants and the corrupt The ones who burn you out The ones who tear you down Politicians sell the plans to the city To mafia farm team lackeys Is anyone even fucking listening? To the words from their mouths? The way they run this town? Because I'm a dirtbag faking a game of lonesome dove Never satisfied with what I've got, so I just want more And it hurts to know you felt that way Because I acted so selfishly And I've learned a lot about myself, but I can't go back I hate summer and it comes through In every single thing I try to do The sun, it burns me out, The heat, it cuts me down I don't wanna float down the river Or get patio beers down at Sisters I feel bad enough for my liver The state of this town, is the fate of this town My personal guilt for being human Is bigger than you can well imagine and I'm not fearless, more like a tangent These words don't sound like words, they don't make a sound Because I'm a dirtbag faking a game of lonesome dove Never satisfied with what I've got, so I just want more And it hurts to know you felt that way Because I acted so selfishly And I've learned a lot about myself, but I can't go back

I'd often tell you what I dream about Forgotten lives, familiar faces You couldn't translate a goddamned thing for me The beauty lived in a place that came and went with the night Can you shed a little light for me? On the forests and the snow, that come vibrant like they're alive But in the daylight, they'll reiterate one common goal: to kill the dreamer in you Kinda didn't even realize Just where and when the shift took place These things happen slowly and subtly We watch in shock and awe as the majesty gets stripped away Can you shed a little light for me? On the blood in the snow, that comes straight from the horse's mouth And in the shadows, they'll wait until you're on your own Then kill the dreamer in you They'll kill the dreamer in you They'll kill the dreamer in me They'll bring the system to it's knees They'll kill the dreams of us They'll kill the dreams of them Don't let them look you in the eyes Hold on, because we're not finished yet And it's up to us to realize that The final nail in the coffin is your to hammer down. Can you flat-out fucking lie to me Just to keep me bold To give me strength to carry on Because they're on the doorstep, and delivering one common fate To kill the dreamer in you Ya they'll kill the dreams of us Ya they'll kill the dreams of them Don't let them look you in the eyes Froggy eyes

The light changes and you're already gone You take it one step too far then you ask for forgiveness And I admit, it's just easier that way But you act, so foolishly My calendar says it's mighty close to time When the birds fly south, take my mood with them I admit it's harder this way Why cant they stay? And keep me company? Down here. Why do I want what lord knows I'll never have Who dealt me the worlds' worst hand? It's on my hands

Colors 03:54
You should be proud of what you've got But you're tired, so tired When summer's heat sucks the words right out of your mouth The curve in your spine, is as hungover as you are Tell me about the colors The flags we sew to ourselves Tell me about your love If God didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him Tall orders every day of the week You call in your favors as an excuse to speak The routine will dissipate As the landscape changes And I can't tolerate another night in this heat Tell me about the colors The flags we sew to ourselves and what they mean Tell me about your love If God didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him .

about

"Take the reckless abandon and boundless energy of a teenage skate punk, jam him into the life experiences of a mid-30’s guy navigating the complexities of life, and you’ve got the recipe for A. Trozzo. From snot-rock to prog-metal, this is a man figuring himself out one song at a time.
On this 4-song EP, he does it all alone too - playing every instrument and layering harmony vocals that soar above thick production values by courtesy of Jesse Gander (Japandroids, Slates, Blessed).
Songs like “Colors” and “Fairly Squarely” feature arrangements and lyrics with insight that’s worth deeper contemplation, while the fist pumping party rock on “Dirtbags” and “For The Birds” is more than enough to make you want to dump a full beer all over yourself.
Life is full of ups and downs, and A. Trozzo is dead set on exploring the depths of each valley and the peaks of every mountain top. While the seriousness of topics like depressive avoidance, burn out, hypocrisy, imposter syndrome, climate change and related dread looms large, ultimately this EP is about eating hotdogs and cheeseburgers in the sun. When life hits you with a mustard tornado, all you can do is scoop up the wreckage, smear that shit onto a sizzling hot frank and chow down.

MuchMusic may have cancelled “The Wedge” a long time ago now, but that doesn’t mean A. Trozzo can’t keep dreaming of a goal that’s no longer attainable. It just means he’s too stubborn to give up."
